Native has hooked up with New York-based photographic representative Art Department in an alignment that breaks the traditional division between commercial and photographic production and talent.
This alignment will see the migration and development of top photographic talent into live-action direction, as well as translating Native’s top-notch commercial production value to photo shoots on the West Coast.
First to cross the bridge to live action was fashion-forward photographer Coliena Rentmeester, who seamlessly jumped into spots for J. Crew, Target, Elizabeth Arden, and OpenSky.com. Rentmeester was also the initial force bringing our fair founder Tomer DeVito and Art Department founder Jordan Shipenberg together.
Tomer and Jordan hit it off immediately, recognizing both a shared aesthetic as well as a dedication to high-quality, devil-in-the-detail production value. It didn’t take long to devise the idea of forming a unique alignment between our new companies.
“We clicked right away on so many levels: work ethic, aesthetic, cultural taste, and came up with this new model together,” says Tomer.
Jordan reiterated the sentiment. “I couldn’t be happier about the collaboration with Native. We’re excited to see what this endeavor will offer our talent and clients on both coasts.”
